Product Overview

  • Core mechanism: unlike simple chain terminators, AMSD reacts with active radicals to temporarily stop chain growth while simultaneously generating new radicals (re-initiation), enabling continuous control without slowing the polymerization rate.

AMSD vs. Mercaptan

  • Eco-friendly and sulfur-free: contains no sulfur (-SH), so there is no unpleasant odor in the workplace and no residue.
  • High-temperature capability (100°C+): overcomes the limitation of conventional mercaptans, which decompose above 80°C, maintaining excellent chain-transfer efficiency in high-temperature processes.
  • Quality stabilization and precise control: achieves a narrow molecular weight distribution (PDI 1.5-2.0), minimizing batch-to-batch variation and delivering uniform properties.
